Weekly Internship Plan
Duration: 2 to 12 Weeks (Can be Extended) This is tentative plan, and may vary in actual.
Mode: Field-based + remote tasks (as needed)
Work Days: Monday to Friday | Time: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM & SOS
Off Days: Saturday & Sunday (Field visits aligned to school/govt availability)
Weekly Plan For: Interns working fulltime, onsite + This Plan may help interns with Documentations.
Week 1: Orientation + Program Understanding
1-day online or in-person orientation
Introduction to Jivanamasteya programs:
Project Karnav (Legal Aid, Human Rights Advocacy)
Dear Cherry Kiwi (Child Protection & Welfare, Women Empowerment)
UdānSeed (Social Entrepreneurship, Livelihood)
Review past research, case studies, legal work, blogs
Task: Submit 1-page reflection + area of focus
Week 2: School Activities for Child Development
Visit partner schools (underprivileged areas)
Conduct sessions on:
Basic education & soft skills
Recreational, art-based or awareness-based activities
Health, hygiene, rights-based learning
Daily feedback reporting
Identify needs of children/school for improvement
Week 3: Community Cluster Work (Counseling + Rights)
Engage with women/children in community centers
Support in:
Counseling sessions
Women/child rights awareness
Family or gender-related outreach
Conduct simple field survey (non-intrusive)
Prepare community observation note
Week 4: Government Interaction + Policy Awareness
Support NGO in engaging with:
Women & Child Department
Education Officers
Police/Mahila Police
Assist with policy documentation/training prep
Help facilitate or observe rights-based workshops
Task: Submit report + improvement ideas
Week 5: Blog Writing + Digital Campaigns
Plan and execute campaigns on:
Stop Abuse
Right to Education
Menstrual Health
Child Empowerment
Contribute blog/article for NGO website
Create social media content (poster/video/reel)
Week 6: Legal Documentation & Victim Support
Learn about nonprofit legal frameworks
Assist with:
Drafting simple legal docs
Preparing case notes
Supporting victims (confidentially, under guidance)
Maintain field visit logs, legal aid data
Week 7: Social Entrepreneurship Exposure – UdānSeed
Engage with small, local businesses solving real problems
(e.g., sanitary products, low-cost education tools, etc.)
Understand business model + social impact
Conduct case study:
Grassroots challenges
Innovation in action
Sustainability practices
Task: Interview 1 social entrepreneur & submit insights
Week 8: Reflection, Research & Final Report
Prepare internship report:
Weekly learning
Project contributions
Observations & challenges
Submit:
1 blog/article
1 social campaign sample
1 short research or policy brief
Deliver short final presentation to team
Short-Term Interns (2–4 weeks):
Condensed plan covering core exposure (Weeks 1–4)
Required: 1 blog + 1 report + field engagement
Remote Work (if applicable):
Blog/article drafting
Legal and survey data entry
Digital campaign or social post design
Research-based contributions
